The Pillars
of Progress

Fix the foundations.

Free the business.

Then scale it.

You’ve built a business that works. Now it needs to work better.

If your revenue has stalled, your team can’t seem to get things right without you, or you’re spending more time firefighting than leading, the problem isn’t effort. Its structure.

The Pillars of Progress is a 12-Module 1:1 coaching programme designed to systematically strengthen the five foundations every business needs to scale: Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, and Team.

Not theory.

Not a workshop.

A structured, hands-on programme with implementation built in, so the changes actually stick.

Where It Fits in Your Journey to Freedom

Every stage of the #ADDAZERO methodology builds on the last.

Here’s where Pillars of Progress sits:

1. Business Freedom Assessment — Identify exactly where your business is stuck
2. The Freedom Technique™ — Build your personal Freedom Framework
3. Pillars of Progress™ — Fix the foundations and prepare to scale ← You are here
4. A Taste of Freedom™ — Implement your framework and extract yourself from operations
5. Legacy™ — Position the business for exit, succession, or long-term wealth

Pillars of Progress is Step 3. It’s not about extracting yourself yet; it’s about making sure the business underneath you is strong enough to support that extraction when the time comes.

Scaling a business with weak foundations doesn’t work. This programme closes the gaps before they cost you.

Who It’s For

This programme is for established business owners who know the business has potential, but can feel it hasn’t yet reached it.

You might recognise yourself here:

• Revenue has plateaued, and you’re not sure why
• The team is in place, but accountability and performance are inconsistent
• You’re still too involved in decisions that shouldn’t need you
• Sales feel unpredictable. Marketing ROI is unclear. Cash flow keeps you awake
• You know something’s not working, you just don’t know exactly what

If you’re already working full-time in the business, typically generating low 6 figures, and want to scale sustainably rather than just work harder, Pillars of Progress will give you the structure to do it.

What You’ll Get

  • 12 x 90-minute sessions delivered fortnightly over 24 weeks
  • A diagnostic review of your current Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, and Team structure
  • Kaizen-based action plans for each pillar — incremental, measurable, and sustainable
  • Implementation accountability between sessions, so it doesn’t just stay on paper
  • Access to tools, templates, and resources for systemisation
  • Relevant team members can join sessions specific to their area of responsibility

Why It Matters

Most business owners who’ve hit a ceiling are doing the right things in the wrong order. They’re pushing for growth before the foundations can support it.

Pillars of Progress reverses that.

By strengthening Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, and Team systematically, you create a business that can grow without adding chaos, and that starts to work without needing you in every conversation.

By the end of 24 Weeks, you’ll have:

  • Reduced owner dependency across all five pillars
  • Clear systems and processes replacing inefficiency and guesswork
  • Improved cash flow, margin, and financial visibility
  • A team that performs with accountability, not just instruction
  • A business that’s positioned to scale — and eventually to sell

This Programme Isn't for Everyone

Don’t Proceed If:

  • You’re content with current performance and have no ambition to grow
  • You’re looking for someone to hand you a quick fix
  • You’re not willing to implement changes across all five pillars
  • You can’t commit 2–3 hours per week to working ON the business between sessions

This Is Perfect If:

  • Your business is generating revenue, but growth has stalled or slowed
  • You know there are inefficiencies — you just haven’t had the structure to tackle them
  • You’re ready to systematically improve all five areas: Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, and Team
  • You want a business that can eventually run without you — and be worth something when it does
  • You’re preparing for the next stage of growth, or laying groundwork for a future exit

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to complete The Freedom Technique first?

Not necessarily.

Many clients complete The Freedom Technique before Pillars of Progress because it helps them build their Freedom Framework, the vision that Pillars then builds the structure to support.

But if you already have a clear direction and need to strengthen the foundations beneath it, Pillars of Progress can stand alone.

Don't I need to complete A Taste of Freedom first?

No, and in most cases, you shouldn’t.

A Taste of Freedom is the programme that comes after Pillars of Progress. It’s where you implement your Freedom Framework and start to extract yourself from operations.

Pillars of Progress comes first: it’s how you build a business that’s strong enough to operate without you. You need the structure before you can step back from it.

What makes this different from A Taste of Freedom?

Pillars of Progress focuses on strengthening your foundations—Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, and Team—using Kaizen principles.

A Taste of Freedom is the next step, where we implement your Freedom Framework and scale your business. Think of Pillars as building the structure; Taste of Freedom is about adding the floors.

What if I've been working ON my business for years already?

That puts you ahead of most.

But working ON the business doesn’t always mean working on the right things.

Many owners focus on strategy or vision while overlooking the operational gaps that limit growth. Pillars of Progress uses Kaizen principles to systematically identify and close those gaps, the ones that cost you time, margin, and momentum without you necessarily seeing them.

Can I focus on just one or two pillars?

Yes and no.

We’ll always prioritise the areas causing the most pain. But all five pillars are interconnected, improving Sales without addressing Operations, for example, can create delivery bottlenecks and damage client relationships.

The programme is designed to address all five because sustainable growth requires balance. We’ll tailor the depth and pace to your business while making sure nothing critical gets left behind.

What happens after the 24 weeks?

At the end of the programme, you’ll have strengthened all five pillars, reduced owner dependency, and built a clear roadmap for sustainable growth.

From there, most clients move into A Taste of Freedom, the next stage of the #ADDAZERO journey, focused on implementation and extraction.

Others choose to continue with accountability support to maintain momentum.

Either way, you leave with a more resilient, scalable business than the one you brought in.

How is this different from generic business consulting?

Generic business consulting often focuses on giving advice or solving isolated problems. It’s usually reactive—fixing what’s broken right now—without addressing the underlying structure that caused the issue.

Pillars of Progress is different because:

  • It’s a structured programme, not ad-hoc advice.
  • We use Kaizen principles for continuous improvement, not quick fixes.
  • It addresses five interconnected pillars (Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, Team) to create balance and scalability.
  • It’s hands-on and implementation-focused, with accountability built in—so changes actually stick.
  • It’s designed for owner-managers who want sustainable scale, not just more complexity.

In short, this isn’t about theory or reports; it’s about building a business that runs predictably, so you can scale sustainably and stress-free.

Can I really see measurable results in 24 weeks?

Yes (provided you commit to implementing the changes we design together).

Pillars of Progress isn’t theory; it’s a structured, action-driven programme focused on practical improvements in the five MSOFT pillars: Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, and Team.

Within 24 weeks, most clients see:

  • Clear systems and processes replacing chaos and inefficiency
  • Improved cash flow and profitability through better financial controls
  • Reduced owner dependency, freeing up time for strategic work
  • Higher team accountability and performance

Because we use Kaizen principles, progress is incremental but consistent, so you’ll see measurable improvements every single month, not just at the end.

How much time will I need to commit each week?

Each session is 90 minutes, delivered fortnightly.

Between sessions, expect to commit 3-4 hours per week to implementation. We design the tasks around high-impact changes that fit your schedule. The goal is measurable progress every month, not overwhelm.

Can my team join the sessions?

Absolutely, we encourage it.

Involving relevant team members in sessions focused on their area of responsibility accelerates implementation and creates alignment. You’re not the only one who needs to understand the changes.

Is this suitable for businesses outside the £250k–£750k revenue range?

Yes, if you’re facing similar challenges—lack of systemisation, inefficiencies, or team misalignment.

While most clients fall within that range, the principles apply to any established business preparing for sustainable growth.

What if my business is already profitable, do I still need this?

Profitability doesn’t guarantee scalability. Most profitable businesses still suffer from inefficiencies, owner dependency, and a lack of systemisation.

Pillars of Progress future-proofs your business, making it scalable, sellable, and stress-free.

The Two Options you have

Path 1: Rest on Your Laurels

You’ve done the hard work of extracting yourself from operations. Your business runs without you. That’s good enough. Stay comfortable with current performance while watching others optimise and grow.

Path 2: Build Something Genuinely Exceptional

Use your newfound freedom to systematically optimize every aspect of business performance. Build something that’s not just free of you, but genuinely excellent. Create an asset that’s worth significantly more because it performs exceptionally.

Ready to strengthen your foundations and accelerate sustainable growth?

You’ve already done the hardest part – extracting yourself from daily operations. You’ve reclaimed your time.

Now it’s time to use that freedom strategically.

The question is: Will you optimise what you’ve built, or settle for “good enough”?

Pillars of Progress ensures you’ll build something exceptional. In 24 weeks, you’ll have a business that performs at a higher level across Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, and Team. You’ll understand what drives value. You’ll have systems that continuously improve. You’ll be positioned for whatever comes next – whether that’s significant growth, preparing for exit, or progressing to Legacy.

You didn’t extract yourself from operations just to watch your business plateau.
